Usage guide
Depending on the nature and condition of the substrate and on the used KEMPEROL® Fleece : Approx. 2.8-3.6 kg/m² giving a coating thickness of approx. 2.0 mm.
 
Application
The substrate must be dry, sound and free from any material that would hinder adhesion. Before application of KEMPEROL® V 210 Waterproofing , prime using KEMPERTEC® Primer according to the priming recommendations. Apply only when substrate and ambient temperatures exceed 5 °C. During application the surface temperature must be 3 °C above the dew point. If the substrate temperature is below or at the dew point temperature then moisture can form at the surface which can affect coating adhesion and cure. (Please refer to DIN 4108 - 5 Tab.1 for a dew point graph). At ambient temperatures under +10 °C, KEMPEROL® UP-A Cold Activator, and over +25 °C, KEMPEROL® UP-I Inhibitor should be added to KEMPEROL® V 210 Waterproofing component B. Mixing: Mix KEMPEROL® CP Catalyst Powder component C thoroughly into KEMPEROL® V 210 Waterproofing component A. Dissolving time: approx. 20 min. at +20 °C. Stir KEMPEROL® V 210 Waterproofing component B thoroughly until no streaks are visible and mix thoroughly in a 1:1 ratio with the KEMPEROL® V 210 Waterproofing component A+C mixture. Again, ensure that no streaks are visible. Approx. 2/3 of the KEMPEROL® V 210 Waterproofing is applied to the substrate and KEMPEROL® Fleece is rolled with a perlon roller, removing air bubbles and allowing an overlap of 5 cm. Then the remaining 1/3 of the KEMPEROL® V 210 Waterproofing is poured onto the surface until complete saturation is achieved. To reduce dirt retention, after a minimum of 12 hours KEMPEROL® TP Talcum Powder can be sprinkled onto KEMPEROL® V 210 Waterproofing . Spread with a light brush and sweep off excess. Joints on door and window elements etc. with a height of < 15 cm (as a water-bearing level from the upper edge) should have at least 5 cm of overlap. Connections to the surface waterproofing should be made with at least a 10 cm overlap. For surfaces under 2 % incline and used surfaces, a film thickness of at least 2 mm must be achieved. Application
The substrate must be dry, sound and free from any material that would hinder adhesion. Prepare the substrate according to Technical Information Tl 21 - Substrate Preparation. The priming recommendations should be followed.
Prime only when substrate and ambient temperature exceed 5 °C and are declining. During application the surface temperature must be 3 °C above the dew point. If the dew point is not reached, the surface to be primed can form a moisture film and cause separation (DIN 4108 - 5 Tab.1).
Remove the bag from the aluminium packaging. Knead component A (cream/white coloured) thoroughly (until uniform colour achieved). Pull away the rubber cord separating the two components, so that both components A and B can be mixed together. Now knead the bag quickly and thoroughly (approx. 60 secs.) so that a homogenous, streak-free primer is formed. Cut off one corner of the bag and pour the KEMPERTEC® D-Primer onto the surface and work quickly.
Apply the primer evenly with a nylon roller until the pores are closed. Distribute with a nylon roller avoiding accumulation of material.
After approximately 12 hours (depending on weather conditions, such as wind, ambient temperature and humidity) and provided that the primed surface is tack- free and dry, further suitable KEMPER SYSTEM products can be applied.
Important note:
KEMPERTEC® D-Primer must be coated within 8 days of application, otherwise adhesion of subsequent coats cannot be guaranteed and re-priming will be necessary. To avoid this, the wet primer can be blinded with KEMPERDUR® NQ 0712 Natural Quartz (approx. 1 kg/m²), allowing recoating to take place unhindered after this 8 day period.
Personal protective equipment should be worn. Clean the tools immediately after use with KEMPERTEC® MEK Cleaning Agent. Clean your hands and rub KEMPER SYSTEM skin care cream into the skin.
 
Important notice

Application
Approximately 2/3rd of the required KEMPEROL® resin should be applied to the primed substrate prior to embedding the KEMPEROL® 165 Fleece. All overlaps in the fleece should be saturated to ensure continuity of the system, and be a minimum of 50 mm. When this has changed colour by rolling or brushing from above, the remaining 1/3rd of resin is applied to the surface and lightly rolled to remove excess material. The interface with door and window elements etc., minimum recommended height 15 cm, should have a minimum 5 cm overlap. Connections to the surface waterproofing should be made with a minimum 10 cm overlap.

Mix KEMPEROL® UP-I Inhibitor into component B thoroughly, with a stirrer or a slow-running mixing machine, until no streaks are visible. Mixing time approx. 1 minute. The shelf life of component B is not reduced by the addition of KEMPEROL® UP-I Inhibitor. Personal protective equipment should be worn. Clean the tools immediately after use with KEMPERTEC® MEK Cleaning Agent. Clean your hands and rub KEMPER SYSTEM skin care cream into the skin.

Formulation Technique
(A) Formulation of water resistant k.k.waterproofing Crete Modified Cement Slurry

Thoroughly blend the solid components-cement & fine silica sand. Add k.k.waterproofing to the pre-blend solids. Mix thoroughly for about 2 to 4 minutes.
 
Direction of Use
Clean & pre-wet the surface thoroughly. Remove standing water from the surface. Repair crack & damages and level the surface with k.k.waterproofing Crete Modified Cement Mortar. Apply k.k.waterproofing Modified Cement Slurry by brush on the prepared. Surface. Two or more coats are recommended. Maintain a gap of 5 to 6 hours between two coats. In case of map/web crack on the surface, put fiber mash on the first coat prior to applying the second coat.
 
Curing
Protect the k.k.waterproofing Crete coating during the first 12 hours from water. Thereafter cure the surface by spraying water for 2 to 3 days before making it functional
 
Coverage

3 kg of k.k.waterproofing Crete Modified cement Slurry (2 parts of Cement mixed with 1 part of k.k.wateroproofing Crete) shall cover approximately 20 to 25 sq. ft. area in single coat and 30 to 35 sq. ft. area in double coat.

WAX BASED CONCRETE CURING COMPOUND
DESCRIPTION
K.K.WATERPROOFING CURE VB WHITE is a pigmented wax based emulsion for retaining water in concrete for effective hydration of cement.
 
PRIMARY USE
K.K.WATERPROOFING CURE VB WHITE provides a highly economical and efficient means of retaining the water in fresh concrete. The presence of water is essential to ensure the strength development in concrete. The membrane formed by K.K.WATERPROOFING CURE VB WHITE prevents concrete from premature drying out and, therefore enables the process of hydration to proceed under optimum conditions. As a consequence, the finished concrete has a harder, dust free surface whilst drying shrinkage and crazing (hair cracks) are reduced to a minimum.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Surface preparation
Surfaces must be prepared thoroughly before commencing application. All substrates must be structurally sound, stable, dry and clean with substrate compressive strength a minimum 25 Map and cohesive strength a minimum 1.5 Map. Rough surfaces are to be evened or filled first. Building surfaces must be 14 days old and be constructed to manufacturer’s recommendations and relevant building standards in force at time of membranes/agents. Release agents, wax residues, foreign particles, laitance, algae and moss, grime, oils, animal fats or grease remains. Structurally unsound layers and surface contaminants are to be mechanically removed by abrasive blasting, blast tracking, grinding or equivalent methods.
 
Priming
• LIQMEM - Aqua flex™ must be applied onto primed surfaces:
• LIQMEM - Aqua flex™ primer for general porous building surfaces.

DILUTING

Detailing
All critical areas such as joints, junctions, movement zones, penetrations and drainage point are to be correctly sealed and detailed prior to membrane application.
 
Voids and gaps : Filled with either cement sand grout mortar or filers & Repair compound. These products are also recommended for forming Waterproof fillet.
Cracks <1mm : Filled with Aqua 300, followed by Aqua fiber reinforcement
Cracks>1mm : Filled with Aqua SBR, followed by Aqua flex sealing system
Reinforcement : Reinforcement of glass fiber, non woven or Pp fiber Cloth recommended
Movement or Expansion Joints : Polysulphide Sealant to be used.

Coverage & Application
• For roofs, floors and general horizontal surfaces: product is to be applied at a total minimum coverage of 0.5 kg/m2, forming a dried film thickness of approximately 500 microns
• For facades and vertical surfaces: product is to be applied at a coverage rate of 0.4 KG/m2.
• Apply subsequent coats at different directions to the previous coat. Coverage is depend on the surface conditions and will vary accordingly as uneven and pours surfaces will require greater coverage to achieve the specified film thickness. Product can be applied by brush, roller or spray
 
Storage conditions
• Best stored at room temperature.
• Avoid cold freezing conditions and off concrete floors.
• Do not store in direct sunlight.
• Shelf life is 12 months in original unopened container.
 
Precautions
• Do not apply to areas subject to heavy foot traffic in commercial environments or vehicular traffic.
• Do not apply to areas when rain is imminent.
• Do not apply when surface temperature is below 50C or above 550C.
• Do not use in areas subject to rising damp or negative hydrostatic pressure.
• Roof and floor surfaces should have adequate falls before coating with Aqua flex.
• Not to be applied over glass or glazed surfaces.
• Not recommended for rust proofing applications.
• Not recommended for areas subject to chemical spillage or containment.
